Dr. Bill Martin
Dr. Martin is celebrating his 44th year as owner of East Longmeadow Animal Hospital. Bill graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Upon receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), he completed an internship in White Plains, New York. In 1972, Bill and his wife Andy and family moved back to Western Mass where ELAH became a reality. Over the years, Dr. Martin has developed a special interest in animal nutrition. You might find him saying, "We are what we eat." He also has a keen interest in surgery. Often, we find Doc sitting on the floor with one of his furry friends or running out of the exam room to catch an old client for a hug. After 44 years of helping and loving his animal patients, he still enjoys coming to work. We think of Dr. Martin as our Renaissance Man. He is a passionate piano player, musical theater director, racquetball player, tennis player, husband, father and grandfather.
